Recently, InfoTeam International and exclusive partner, Teamviewer hosted a roundtable dinner to bring esteemed industry
leaders together to discuss digital transformation and remote connectivity in business. With a shift into a hybrid workforce, information technology teams are now depending heavily on remote access and control solutions.
The afternoon opened an attractive agenda, starting with Head of CIO Office – Strategy and Information at ING, Marco Eijsackers moderating a discussion amongst the panel about trends in business. Megatrends such as resilience in business and security standardisation, were a primary focus during the discussion. Viviënne van Herel MBA, suggested that there is often a lack of commitment with security standardisation, as it is often unfamiliar territory. Some could argue that this is a common theme with growing companies, where upcoming trends appear as a threat instead of being innovative. However, it is clear that some trends need to be accepted and companies need to grow with a trend, such as green energy.

The panel began to talk about green energy in businesses, especially from a practical viewpoint, some expressed that moving to a paperless system is a good start, but the challenge in green energy is to be continuously aware and innovative, to create a sustainable enterprise. This focus tied into TeamViewer’s presentation model with providing remote connectivity to reduce carbon emissions, and boosting instant business connections for specialists.
On the topic of innovation, the latest cyber trend of artificial intelligence (AI) began to hum around the room. In recent months, some entrepreneurs have feared AI overtaking a business, with its endless capabilities in a digital world. People begin to wonder, ‘is AI safe for my business?’. Kian Abolfazlian, Director, Data Transformation Leader, IGT Business Cluster at Philips, recognised that AI is growing rapidly in various enterprises. Abolfazlian touched on how Generative AI encapsulates a digital trend where AI produces various types of synthetic content including imagery, text and audio. Discussions around how generative AI could enhance customer experience began, where services could include a virtual assistant indistinguishable from its human counterparts could advise users on a daily basis. This technology could include facial recognition to understand emotion, which is sometimes lacking in customer service.
As the digital era continues to develop and transform, networking with like-minded industry professionals is crucial. At InfoTeam, bringing businesses together to discuss on-trend topics such as digital transformation, is our specialty. If you would like to join in on our next Benelux event, please get in touch.
