Breaking New Ground: InfoTeam International’s Middle East Debut

November marked an exciting milestone for InfoTeam International as we hosted our inaugural event in the Middle East, a vibrant and rapidly evolving hub for technology and innovation. Held at the prestigious JW Marriott in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the event welcomed a distinguished audience of CIOs and CISOs, showcasing the latest insights and strategies for addressing the critical challenges of cyber resilience, identity security, and trust in the digital age.

Supported by our valued Event Partner, Ping Identity, this conference underscored InfoTeam’s commitment to delivering impactful, high-quality events that empower IT leaders worldwide. Focusing on the unique opportunities and challenges faced by organisations in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, the event represented a crucial step forward in our mission to connect global experts and foster innovation across borders.

The day opened with an insightful keynote on Cyber Resilience, delivered by Saeed Al Garni, Director of Security Operations in the Saudi Government. Saeed’s presentation emphasised the critical need for robust defences in today’s complex threat landscape and offered actionable strategies to fortify organisational resilience.

This was followed by an engaging session led by Sanjay Kumar from Ping Identity, who explored Securing Organisational Identity with a Modern Cloud Approach. Attendees gained valuable insights into the transformative power of cloud-based identity solutions, which are essential for achieving security and scalability in an ever rapidly digitising world.

The event culminated in a dynamic panel discussion hosted by Saleh Al Harbi, Chief Information Officer at Shaqra University. This session brought regional thought leaders together to discuss issues of identity, privacy, and trust within the MEA context.

As the day drew to a close, it was evident that this event was not just a one-off success but the beginning of something much larger. InfoTeam International’s debut in the Middle East marked a bold step into a region of immense potential and opportunity. Saudi Arabia, with its ambitious Vision 2030 agenda, is shaping the future of technology, and we are proud to contribute to this transformation by creating platforms for dialogue, collaboration and actionable insights.

Looking ahead, we are thrilled to continue building on the momentum generated in Riyadh. With plans for additional events in the Middle East in 2025, we aim to deepen our engagement with the region’s CIO community and provide even greater opportunities for leaders to connect, learn, and thrive.

Our thanks go to Saeed Al Garni, Sanjay Kumar, Saleh Al Harbi, and all our attendees for making this event such a resounding success. Special gratitude also goes to Ping Identity for their invaluable partnership and support.

As we move forward, InfoTeam International remains dedicated to expanding our global reach, fostering innovation, and driving meaningful conversations that shape the future of technology. We cannot wait to see what 2025 has in store and look forward to welcoming you to our next Middle East event!
